Two Australian stays on the world’s Gold List
Condé Nast Traveller’s 2026 Gold List names Park Hyatt Sydney and El Questro Homestead in the Kimberley.

Condé Nast Traveller’s Gold List, now in its 32nd year, names the hotels its editors consider the best in the world. Two Australian properties made the 2026 edition.
Park Hyatt Sydney, on the water at The Rocks, is the only hotel in Oceania on the list. It has spent more than three decades looking directly at the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge.
El Questro Homestead, in the Kimberley, is at the other extreme. The converted cattle-station lodge takes only 20 guests at a time and opens seasonally, from April to mid-October. The days run to river cruises, four-wheel-drive safaris and helicopter flights to waterfalls and hot springs.
Between them, the pair show both halves of Australian luxury: harbour-city polish and remote wilderness.
