Piastri level with Webber on nine wins, but chasing form in 2026
Oscar Piastri was eighth in Madrid and sits seventh in the championship; his nine career wins match Mark Webber’s.

Piastri’s seven wins in 2025 took him to nine in his career, level with Mark Webber. Only Sir Jack Brabham (14) and Alan Jones (12) have won more Grands Prix for Australia.
2026 has been harder. In Madrid on 13 September he touched George Russell twice before the first corner, raced on with a damaged front wing, rejoined 11th after pitting and finished eighth. Kimi Antonelli won from Max Verstappen and Lando Norris.
Antonelli leads the championship; Piastri is seventh. The next race is Azerbaijan, with the Grand Prix in Baku on Saturday 26 September.
