Zimbabwe made 8/271, led by Sikandar Raza’s unbeaten 81. Josh Inglis answered with 103 from 102 balls, his second ODI hundred.
Australia still needed 27 when No.11 Spencer Johnson joined Nathan Ellis. Ellis, dropped in the second-last over, hit a six from the first ball of the last and finished 36 not out.
Travis Head’s century had already won the series in the second match. Captain Mitchell Marsh: “I thought Zimbabwe probably deserved to win.” South Africa is next.
