Seven new faces as the Socceroos prepare to host Brazil
Tony Popovic has left out Mat Ryan and named seven uncapped players for two friendlies in Queensland.

Australia play Brazil in Townsville on Friday 25 September and at Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane, on Tuesday 29 September, both at 8pm AEST.
The uncapped players are Eli Adams, Kealey Adamson, Jacob Chapman, Yaya Dukuly, Marcus Younis, Kasey Bos and 19-year-old Dylan Leonard. Sixteen of the World Cup squad return.
Goalkeeper Mat Ryan, with 105 caps, was left out; Popovic said he is “certainly not out of the picture”. The coach said the squad was picked “with an eye on the AFC Asian Cup 2027”.
